Sound Healing Practitioner
I am a 100 hour certified Sound Healing practitioner as well as a 200 hour registered yoga instructor. I am currently completing my diploma for Level 2 Sound Healing Practitioner through the Academy of Sound Healing. Along with my membership with the Yoga Alliance, I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State University. I am blessed to facilitate group and individual sound healing, gentle flow, yin, and restorative yoga.
My first experience with sound healing occurred while attending a personal healing retreat in Bali. While working with the sound healing practitioner, I experienced a breakthrough in releasing stuck energy, stored for decades. After one session I felt lighter and hopeful. It was amazing and unforgettable. It wasn’t until attending a Shamanic breath-work retreat a year later, that I felt the calling to learn more about sound healing. I felt drawn to the rhythms of the drums, chants, and Native American flute. From there my passion was confirmed. So much so that I completed the Sound Healing Certification Program at the Yoga Forest in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. The training focused on group sound healing with a wide variety of sacred sound healing instruments and vocal toning. During which, individual sound healing was introduced, but I really want a deeper understanding of how this modality assisted an individuals’ release to find balance and harmony for specific health issues or concerns.
Today, my sound healing arsenal of instruments include: weighted and unweighted tuning forks, gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, shamanic hand drums, Koshi chimes, and various Native American rattles. I find using my voice with mantras, chants, and vocal toning is also very healing for some clients. Currently, I am learning to play the acoustic guitar, facilitating sound sanghas and cacao ceremonies. So many people these days are experiencing disturbing sleep patterns, anxiety about intensifying crises in our world, allowing me to share the ancient healing practice to release burdens is a calling, I am blessed to share with my community.
